Keeps flickering here but so far lucky

We had lots of flickers and saw tons of sub station flashes...lots of downed limbs and trees i suspect based on the sounds I was hearing...but never lost power. Very crazy night in terms of wind...definitely our best southerly wind blast in 2 years.

This was on my balcony. I live RIGHT in Downtown Bellevue. I'm on the 10th floor.
The large clanking sound is the Tower construction going on being ripped up by this wind. Things are flying around, you see transformers popping in the distance too. Trees swaying.

Ah yes the Binary Towers. First time in a while that a project turns out nicer than the rendering IMO.

Talk about sustained winds though!

According to that same site, Oregon has about 125,000 out meaning there's about 700,000 out across the two states.

GEFS mutes the signal a tad, but the overall pattern is very much still in play.

Much stronger signal later though. Block amplifies nicely and holds.

Well this night will be added to my memorable wind events...Could hear crashes in the distance at times and constant wind battering the house while I laid in bed in otherwise complete dark and silence (no fan running) That squall line that came through sometime shortly after midnight was amazing!!! The power surged non stop for about two minutes though so hopefully not everything is fried in the house that wasn’t surge protected. Will be interesting to see if I lost any trees on the property, need to inspect my fence line at daybreak.
GOOD STORM!!

Much of northern Snohomish Co is in the dark...Have a feeling I will be without for a while. Going to fire up the generator in an hour or so.

Amazing numbers!! Wow. Was asleep when the big gusts came through and rattled the house, woke me up instantly. I was gonna check the numbers when I wake up, but had a feeling it has to be 45Mph+ with that one.

That was one of the strongest so far this season.

In terms of models correctness in predicting this storm.  King Euro wins.

Was 55 when I went to bed, it’s now 40 degrees and still quite breezy. Walked my fence line in the woods and luckily no trees across it. Lots of branches everywhere however. This is how winter should be!

Lights flickered a teensy bit when I was reading before passing out last night. Didn't wake up to a 150ft tree in my bedroom and didn't lose power at all.
