This looks gorgeous!

This was here in 1/4/17 hoping for something like this again!

Whether it's a dry or a snowy blast, either way it lasts a while. Reminds me of December 2009.

Wow this gets cold. I don't like that energy out in the GOA in the middle of the block.

Wasn’t long ago we were staring at 15+ days of raging jet and mega torch across the nation.

We’ve come a long way since then!

Jesus, that block out in the western Pacific is acting like a suction cup. Siphoning air out of the whole Pacific basin.

I am definitely not going to hold my breath for anything close to 12 inches but would be happy with even a smaller event with 2-3 inches.  North Seattle does 'okay' with fringe events due to being 250-300 feet.

Last year was a rather big letdown for areas Seattle and South with the models backing off the snowfall at the last minute if  I recall correctly.

Ya in north seattle as well and was right on the transition line from heavier snow to none.  That happens quite a bit with the convergence zone and can be hard to watch.

Will the streak be broken? We are a week away from having EUG's all-time drought without a sub-freezing high in the record books.

00z is fun. We are way overdue for a pattern like this in late January.
