SEA is at 1.21 for the day... and 1.63 for the month.

Already 30% of the monthly average in just 2 days.

A bit floody on the island today.  I’m hearing there are evacuation alerts and orders here in the Cowichan Valley.  And some a little farther north earlier in the day

Weird stat. At first I thought it was saying Idaho got colder, but I guess it's just gotten less diurnal variability? Or is it less temperature variability from one day to the next?

Was just hanging out in the woods at 11:30pm checking on the drainage...Wanted to make sure all is good after nearly an inch of rain falling in just a few hours. Flowing correctly but there sure is a lot of it!
Temp at 39 and still raining.
.97” on the day.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Meh still waiting for something interesting to show up on the models. Hasn’t been anything worth following down this way since the Labor Day firestorm.

Wow ended the day with 1.71” of rain. I’ll have to check when I get home but I believe that’s the biggest daily rainfall since that big AR event in mid December 2019! Up to 2.33” on the month.

That’s epic. Clear NPAC high retrogression signal while -NAO is anchored immovably, preventing +TNH from locking in.

Looks like it's snowing really good at the I-90 / highway 18 junction.  Only 900 feet there and the road is white.

You didn't see the GFS tonight?  Pretty epic potential there.

I find it interesting there have been two rounds of lowland snow in less than two weeks in an overall pretty awful pattern.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Graupel started mixing in with the rain and there was ice accretion just a few towns over. This despite warm 850s and screaming SW flow aloft. Completely unforcasted.

I know I’m on the other side of the country but still.

Impressive. Tim will probably wake up to a few inches of snow.

North Bend stations are all 32-33 degrees now so it must be snowing good right in town. That's only like 450 feet elevation.

37 here now with light rain.

I'm feeling really good about the second half of this winter for a number of reasons.  We'll see soon enough.

Wow.  36 in Hobart right now and it's 42 here.  We're talking like 6 miles apart.  I expect a big drop here very soon.

Just Incredible. Looks like it’s still rain in Winthrop. You gotta love this state for having this kind of weather mix possible. So interesting.

I can never recall getting two snow events so close together caused by slow moving baroclinic bands and heavy precip.  Just something odd about this winter.

It’s down to 38 here at 1am. Just few hours ago it was 48 as the cold front was pushing thru. Amazing crash. Not as amazing as a few weeks ago, but still amazing.

Just imagine one of these events going into a big cold wave.  It does happen sometimes.
