It's a lot of what you touched on. This behavior has been allowed for far too long by worthless, inept politicians. A total lack of respect for authorities, the "me me me" narcissist self important generation who thinks they are entitled to do anything they want, anytime they want.

Our society is completely breaking down.

On a better note, the clouds have rolled in and the temp has stabilized at 32. I am feeling pretty good about tomorrow morning. If we are lucky we could get a few inches.

The EPS control also shows a sharp trough around the 9 / 10 day period now with the EPS mean strongly hinting at it.

Oh wow. That's nuts. Well some people obviously can't handle the pressure of being a cop either. Not a line of work I would want to get into these days.

Its not really reasonable to say the cop "couldn't handle the pressure" at this point....obviously we need to wait and see but if the mob had gotten to the point they were breaking windows on the cruiser, then it was a matter of seconds before they were in the car and pulling him/her out.  In that case his actions were justified (though I doubt it will be seen that way and his/her career will be sacrificed as a pawn to appease the SJWs.)  Yes, anyone willing to put the badge on must be willing to put their life on the line, but that does not make them sacrificial lambs for slaughter.  They have the right to use force to protect themselves and go home at the end of their shift.

I was in law enforcement down in Oregon in the 90's and loved it despite losing a friend in the line of duty.  No way in hell I would do it today.  I have friends in LE up here in Bellingham and the stories they tell about the they have to endure....

On the weather side, down to 33 here.

Looks like it is ~33F at 1400ft in the Coast Range as well. 37F for me on the far western end of the metro. I'm ready for my chunky rain.

I think the lower elevation areas in the Coast Range will do pretty well though, they are pretty nicely protected from the south wind. Vernonia for sure should get a few inches. Maybe even places like Buxton.

really? that would be a catastrophe for seattle. i'm a big wilson fan. pete carroll is the person that needs to leave, imo

Don’t worry. The Hawks are gonna go full early 90s once Pete and Russ are gone. Go take a look at that era. I’m old enough to remember it and holy hell they were awful.

On a weather-related note it’s currently 32F so add 2 more freezes as we snuck one in before the gun.

Currently 36F with very light snow outside. Although it's so light that I had to stare at it for a couple minutes to decide whether it was falling already melted or whether it was frozen and melting on contact.

The mesoscale models are really bullish for places above about 1000’, I think they are overdoing it a little. Seems like the NAM and Hrr want to start precip here around 7-8a, they show moderate snow from about noon-4p, which isn’t the greatest part of the day for it. 3k NAM, Hrr, WRF all show 4-6” here tomorrow. I think 2-3” is more realistic.

We will see, I will be happy with anything. I was thinking the models are assuming a 10:1 snow ratio, but it will probably be more like 7 or 5:1, which is pretty typical.

Yeah, around that elevation. Unfortunately my weather station isn’t connected right now, but nearby weather stations have the temp at around 36.

Yeah unfortunately not a very cold airmass. I think you will probably still get something out of it, a dusting to an inch or two.

Hopefully we can score something more widespread and more substantial in the coming week or two.

Yeah for Medford lol. Look how many members are over 25 inches... geez

The lowest member out of 50 still shows 10". Absurd. Seems like there almost has to be a resolution issue there making it think Medford is closer to 2,000 feet.
