I am more optimistic having the EURO/EPS in our favor than I would for the GFS/GEFS, BUT I don't want to see the expected or forecast -PNA tanking being delayed/pushed back any further.

Off-topic, but a single gun shot just behind my house. No idea what's going on. Those people are rather reclusive keep to themselves and the guy is a major a-hole verbally abuses his wife all Summer.

Yeah definitely. Within the past 2 weeks I've heard 3 shootings. Portland is such a cesspool.

06z GEFS has much less of an AL presence and a much more amplified ridge/block over the higher latitudes. 00z was in fact a really warm outlier compared to every other run for this hour.

Looking at the data, look like the wind was swirling overnight. A strong E wind that shifted to a strong S/SE wind that kept temps up for most of the night. It was still 50 at 3AM in the morning. 

Down to 44 now after things have calmed.

He said he was going to Highlands, NC, and if that is the case, cellphone coverages is not the best there.  My aunt used to have a summer home there, and she told me she could really only got decent coverage in certain areas where she went for her daily walks.

06z GFS was the best run in awhile, IMO. Actually got me inspired to post on the weather side.
