I thought the Fox Valley area might have had more but the warmer SFC temps, plus earlier rains cut the totals down in that area.

That sounds/looks right. 

 

Bonus band firing up along the state line and heading east. It'll probably snow into the advisory criteria up in the Fox Valley, but I'm doubting they'll make 6".

This snowfall should at the very least boost the snowmobiling activity in C/S WI for Thanksgiving week.  A lot of the region from say Hayward and south lost their snow cover from the rains and warmth.  Nice way to replenish it from the back side of this storm.

 

Nice wrap around snow shower banding setting up in N IL.  Could get another 1/2" - 1" if it keeps up.  Snow is fluffy now and its blowing off the roofs.  Definitely feels more like winter today!

Definitely looks like mod. snow moving back across my area now. Going to be a long drive home I think. 27-28° now.

 

Noticed several west facing stop lights are all caked up with snow. Hard to tell what color they are.

Finally snowing in Green Bay. That took awhile considering it started snowing at the other end of the state last night!

Everything is completely covered grass wise and big flakes coming down now with everything ice covered now

Driving the 10 miles to Kenosha took about 30 minutes. Roads are more icy than slushy. Wind is complicating driving.

I would say we got somewhere around 4-5 here. Really hard to tell with all the blowing/drifting going on. Looks like the amounts verified in GB area though (4-7)

Drove 2.5 hours to Alma,Wi (on Mississippi River north off LaCrosse) and back today. Fun weather to experience. Cold downpour to blinding snowstorm. Here's a pic from the road at about 10pm.

Looks good Snowshoe!  I remember your epic pic from last year when you had like 30" of snow on the ground.  Glad you guys did good up there.  I'm sure you will whip out your beasty snowmobile soon!

The models did a fantastic job once it got within 36 hours or so (outside of NAM), and I give a lot of credit to the local forecasters. Did an outstanding job with the headlines on a tough forecast.

I tell you the map put out by Milwaukee is not correct locally. There is no way 1.1" and 0.6" only fell in Racine and Kenosha. The grass is covered pretty uniformly across both cities. And they left higher totals in Walworth County I know for sure.
