Still snowing at a decent clip, but hopefully those heavier returns can roll back in. I'll probably go out to measure in a bit, likely at least 9" by now though. It's hard to eyeball when everything is just white 😆

Radar shows the dry air continuing to eat away at the snow shield east of Cedar Rapids.  Fortunately, a couple good bands have managed to hold together and make it through CR.

I'm curious to know how much has fallen across the county east of Lincoln.

I would guess 12-15, based off radar returns.  Speaking of which, dry air is coming (near bennett now) but that may stay just to my south.. going to be close for sure

The dry air is really working hard over here.  The snow is struggling to win the battle.  A good band was just moving through CR, but it went poof and now it's barely snowing.

I've already posted twice about this already, but the dry air is killing us now after a very promising start.  Even with green over us on radar the snow has stopped completely, and radar suggests it may be another hour before more snow moves in, if the new band doesn't dry up.  ☹️

"Solid heavy snow has been parked over the Des Moines area all afternoon."

The heaviest has been Dallas CTY.  Just talked to my son in on NW side of Waukee has 6"+-- KDSM is 4" as of 5pm

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Looks like snow is knocking on my doorstep! Radar looks good and loaded. Wonder if there will be any overachievement in this.

Where is <Clinton> He has been MIA!
