This is awesome snow right now, about as good as it gets.... very large flakes, very dense, light wind.  I bet this is at least 2"/hr rate.

Northwestern Jones county (the county just east of CR) may get a few inches over the next hour.

I have about an inch.  It's very clumpy, so I have to average the peaks and valleys.  As expected, the snow is quite wet.  The heavy snow has moved out for now.

Congrats to you all getting a nice pounding! I measured 1.5" of snow and my depth is back up to 9" after about losing 4" to compaction and melting. Amazing what a small amount of snow can do. Snow has ended but here is what the drive into my town is like. Not as crazy as @Grizzcoat but still a winter wonderland!

Somehow, the Cedar Rapids airport is reporting 31º, but all other stations in the area, even surrounding the airport, are still 33º.  My snow rate is pretty low now.  I hope none of the stuff that has already fallen melts.

Maybe 1/2-1" here. School was "cancelled" here. When I mean cancelled, it was cancelled for in person learning and they changed it to a remote day. I have to wonder if they will ever have snow days here again since they have the ability to always go remote from home. I'm pretty sure they would have had school today if this was pre-pandemic times.

It's currently snow in IC. Not sure how long it has been, but there's not a whole lot of accumulation so far. Temp is 34, which may make accumulation difficult to start.

Not that this matters now, but just for giggles, the GFS never backed down and even increased snow totals.  We'll never hit these amounts around these parts, but interesting nonetheless.

We could if last hour's very heavy snow continued for a few hours, but that is not happening.

Yeah, the snow here has tapered down to a moderate level, and looks like it's not piling up quite as easily due to the near freezing temps.
