Right up to Thursday afternoon the 850mb flow remains onshore the entire time, even up in the North Sound. Although there would probably still be a fair amount of low level outflow.

The track of the low isn't the issue as much this time. The low is south of last time. The cold air never arrived, stuck way up north.

PDX 10 PM Thursday now low level arctic air is taking over. Precip turns to Snow/Sleet

Yeah you know it’s not over yet, the low track is at least resolved, let’s just hope this is a crazy warm scenario lol

I think if we are talking about consistency the GFS actually beats the Euro pretty handily the last 24 hours.

so, every model and their mothers shows cold and possible snow, but the euro shows opposite and it's 100% correct. got it. i'm learning.

Well, the more I think about it that wasn’t that awful, still shows the EURO is perfectly capable of waffling around like an a**. At least low track was much improved, if only PV cooperates we are, in the words of today’s lingo, Gucci.
