The NWS forecast is pretty hard core.  Predicting back to back nights with snow and temps low to mid 20s.  Pretty real sheit!

We could easily see 15 to 1 ratios with this event.  That could result is some really amazing totals.  If this pans out one might be tempted to think the weather has remembered how to snow here gain.

Well here's the end of Sunday. Would that put Tacoma at 30 inches?

If Portland get's 30 inches, they can never complain about snow again.

They’re still playing with fire there for sure...not a certainty either way.

Ugh, I see this either being epic for us Everett area folks or being a let down. On one hand, as we have seen with a variety of storms, the low trends a touch north, the moisture makes it up the I5 corridor, and we over preform, excluding any CZ action. In addition, we hold onto the cold longer and have a shot of something through Monday.

On the other hand, this system remains suppressed, moisture gets eaten up by outflow. Then with no serious outflow support, we warm up with the rest of the Sound but without much snow as we remained shadowed or too far North for the CZ. I guess karma for 2019 and my "worst weather forum admin weenie takes since Kevin Martin" takes.

Weenie reacts only.

Yeah, I’m expecting to get shafted here in Marysville as always lol. Always too south for the northern events, always too north for the south events :)

I just got off a FaceTime call with the Pope. Told him about all the suffering Oregonians have endured.

Definitely feel bad for TWL and dolt watching on the sidelines on this one. Atleast there not being tortured with the ups and downs of being so close to the line like PDX.

I have been lurking on this forum since 2008, and I have never seen any maps like the ones we are seeing.

The only time I can think of that was close, within 4 days, was January 2012. Pretty sure some runs leading up to it painted 30"+ totals for some lowland locations.

Oh, SW. February 2019 wasn't that long ago...

EDIT: Although maybe you meant 2019 and 2021 together would prove that.

Pretty sure there were some 3K NAM maps in February 2017 that showed 18-24" totals across most of NW Oregon and SW Washington.
