Yeah, definitely not here either. Bozeman hasn't even had a single "snow day" since the 70's. Different world east of the Cascades.

No snow day in 50 years, what exactly is their standard for one? Trapped in your house for a week kind of snow?

We function usually when it snows, but give us a foot or two feet in a single quick storm, will catch most people here off guard, and some streets aren't gonna be plowed quick enough to open schools. In Jan 2017 when 20" fell in 26 hours, nobody without 4 wheel drive could use their vehicle.

Too bad it is the 18z GFS. At least it gives us some hope.

Welcome to the Snoqualmie Valley!

We will stay as snow out here even if the warm air makes it into Seattle.   The east wind is going to be relentless.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! This is music to my ears! Looks like we're under a winter weather advisory already for tonight. Let's get this winter started!

2006 wind storm I did not fill up my car.  We lost power for a week and my wood supply ran out for keeping one room warm.   Found some wood available but and hour out of town.  Gas stations locally were all shut down.  It was a nail biter getting to my destination and hoping a station would be open so I could get back home.  So good thing to fill up just in case.  Ya never know what scenario is going to play out.

Then add to that a massive earthquake which could happen on a 75 degree sunny day, or when there is 2 feet of snow and 10 degrees and no power...Better to be prepared!!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Here you go PDX!! Moisture trended south, big-time. We have February 2019 and the initial few inches w/ the arctic front to hang our coats on.

I am trying to remember the model evolution with the second big snowstorm in February 2019 that pounded Eugene.   I remember being convinced it was going to end up right over Seattle and the suppressed model solutions won the day.   And I think it was the ECMWF that was too far north initially.

Thanks. I turn 9 today (Mentally, maturity level)

I regress fifteen years mentally whenever there's a bolt of lightning, inch of snow, impressive downpour, large hailstone, or a strong wind gust. Feels like being a kid again.
