A well deserved break in the action by the 20th.

Snow cover, low thicknesses, light winds.  Going to be a lot cold mins.  I really want this to work out right.

Noob question: is the reason that the Bham area is getting shafted on the maps snow-wise because the outflow winds are modeled to be too strong for much precip to make it up here?

The low pressure systems are tracking too far south.  That combined with the outflow makes it hard to get much there.

Kind of a bummer to see it completely abandon the King/Snohomish County line CZ it had been showing the last three runs.

Maybe a sign things are more suppressed than expected already.

Last year was a good example of how Bham did not get shafted. Very dependent on the low placement as it's too wide of net to cast. When Bham does well, the rest of the region will typically see cold rain from my experience. But if Bham is shafted, we're typically in for some major cold stuff.

But overall, just low placement.

00z WRF shows Tim's area doing well and surprisingly shows an inch falling here in the morning. Not holding my breath on that though.

Really hoping that we can get something on Wednesday, in case the dry/cold solutions win out for the end of the week.

The snow line stops 10 miles south of me.  That is obviously splitting hairs though.

Looks like a big batch of moisture training along the north slope of the Olympics is going to dump down into the C-Zone.  Could get fun later.

It's either all or nothing. A bit exhausting, but interesting.

Exhausting it is! Like being in Vegas for two weeks with high stake wins and losses, loud carpets, flashing lights and porno baseball cards being slapped at you as you walk the strip!

With how entrenched the cold looks to be, we'd need quite a few sad members on here before the moisture could make it up this way
