Despite the numerous individual cold records in jeapordy through the middle of the month, if the current forecast holds, the first half of February (1-15) will average almost 10 degrees warmer than the same period in 1936, when the average temperature through the 15th of the month was only -4.1 degrees in Grand Island. 1

Grizzcoat
Feb 1936- is the King when to comes to cold relative to the means. I will look up some maps later, but places in ND ( if my memory is correct) avg -5 to -10F for the entire month. And than July of 36' came, the greatest extreme switch I know of in all of climate. 4 Quote The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
