Tony
12Z runs seem to keep the Saturday wave south. Not concerned as the shift back north should start happening by 0z if not sooner. These waves just seem too suppressed in my opinion
mlgamer
I'm sure there will be lots of model changes ahead, but I am a bit concerned I'll have a week of cold air and not much snow to show for it. Seem to be riding on the edge (as usual) of many models and runs each cycle. Nothing is ever easy...lol 1 Quote 23-24 seasonal snow total: 17.8" (as of 3/9/24)
bud2380
It's so hard to differentiate between all these waves. The biggest trend I see where I live is that the energy weakens substantially as it moves into Iowa. We would be fortunate to get more than 1-2" from any wave.
snowstorm83
My grids sound pretty bullish now Saturday Snow, mainly before noon. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 13. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible. 3 2 Quote Snowfall in Lincoln, NE: 2017-18: 21.4" 2018-19: 55.5" 2019-20: 17.6" 2020-21: 49.4" 2021-22: 5.1" Average: 26"

bud2380
Interesting that the HRRR continues to pile up snow in Iowa tomorrow. Not sure I buy it. This range isn't the HRRR strong suit. It usually does much better within 12-24 hours. Maybe if it still shows it on the 00z run I'll buy in a little more. 2
