50F with the occasional shower. If we aren't going to get cold and snowy then at least we may as well hopefully be putting a small dent in our drought conditions.

I've been a part of several weather forums for the past 15 years and they more or less run the same. There is discussion among individuals with a large range in knowledge about weather and then there'

West side of Olympia as of 7 PM is up to approximately 5 inches and still snowing steadily.

My front door in Troutdale this morning. Last night was incredible with 45-55 mph gusts for many hours. I'm on a hill around 300' directly facing east.

Cliff Mass is a smart guy, but he often lets his emotional attachments get in the way of objective analysis. It really wasn’t very smart to rely so much on the WRF when both the Euro and GFS were saying quite contrary things for many areas. My experience has been that when both Euro and GFS agree on something, they are almost always right.

The snow in central and east king county is crazy relentless, the radar is getting some of it, but it just doesn’t stop.

Not complaining at all!! I am just astonished. This is so rare it is nuts.

Ya this might even be crazier than 2019 and 2008 in terms of just continued snow.

Snow just hasn’t stopped. I have cleared the cars several times today.  Cleared them around 2pm and they are covers with at least 2-3”.  Still snowing and really starting to ice over.  Had a high of 31 today and down to 29 now.

My proximity to the Coast Range seems to be paying off at the moment. All snow here but sleet and ZR in Hillsboro and areas south and east at the moment. Radar looks really promising. Might actually manage an additional 1-2 in? The precip rates are strong.

Well, at least you know your hot tub’s snow detector is still working. Its job is to sense an impending snowfall and cause a malfunction that takes the tub out of service until the snow event ends.

If this convergence can keep up I might not have a break in snow when this next systems arrives.  Absolutely nothing on the radar above me now but snowing pretty good still. Currently approaching 34hrs straight of snow.  Never been close to that number before.

Went down to Silverton to check on my dad. The Ice storm damage is unfathomable. It’s like an EF3 tornado hit. We re going to try to clear my Dads driveway tomorrow, to many limbs were still falling today. Power lines and poles down everywhere. Took 3 hours to get gas for the generator, they were about to run out.

Lol I mean I’d be happy if it snowed again this winter/early spring but I’d be fine without it. Probably going to get a couple more inches tomorrow for the final stamp on this epic event...late February early March snow would be welcome but I could definitely live without anymore after Sunday. Probably not going to be model riding for the rest of the season just casually checking on the weather patterns.

Tomorrow's forecast is extremely challenging and pretty important as it will determine if we have another full day to experience our snowcover without melting and if we add some more snow to it.

FWIW, the 00z NAM is much drier and therefor much less snowy than the 18z for Western Washington.
