West side of Olympia as of 7 PM is up to approximately 5 inches and still snowing steadily.

I've been a part of several weather forums for the past 15 years and they more or less run the same. There is discussion among individuals with a large range in knowledge about weather and then there'

My front door in Troutdale this morning. Last night was incredible with 45-55 mph gusts for many hours. I'm on a hill around 300' directly facing east.

Mostly flurries here now. Temp has bumped up to 35 with what little diurnal heating we will see today. Just a little reminder it is indeed mid-February.

Temp has dropped a couple degrees to 32, DP has rose to 17, getting the occasional spits of flurries, and the east wind is quite gusty.

Exactly the same here.

Been steady light snow but not sticking yet. I’d imagine sometime later this afternoon snow starts sticking here. Nice to see snow falling though!

Wonder if its picking up some sleet or something. I'm under some of the yellow in the SE part of that band and precipitation is not heavy at all.

Temp has dropped from 41 to 37.

We are right on the edge of the heavier precip. Just needs to move a little north.

Euro still showing east wind gusts approaching 50 mph in this area on Saturday morning.

Interesting. Shows Newcastle (my location) right on the green edge. I've almost never experienced that strong of winds in these setups, so will be interesting to track. Questioning if the Euro is overdoing it a bit, but I suppose it did nail our wind event this winter :).

Wow. 30 mb pressure gradient between the south sound (1015 mb) and central Fraser plateau (1045 mb) now.

-48F in Puntzi Mountain, west central BC, this morning. A February record I believe.

Lost the down valley gradient, had light north winds earlier.  41 and stagnant with low overcast.  NWS going with 33 degree rain next two nights.  Can't say I'll miss the ice if it verifies but dang.

Flurry storm over in the swamp.

Underperforming.

There wasn’t even really supposed to be accumulations just yet anyways. It’s working northwards...even you in the swamp will probably get some snow tonight.

I think this batch of precip moving north should move it over to snow at PDX. That DP of 25 at the airport is nice.

18z NAM continues to cut back on precipitation for the North Sound. Or more like it reverted back to the 06z NAM showed. Of course it's the NAM so...

DP down to 18F here which is the lowest it's been so far. So excited to see the snow to the south! Keep sending pictures if you can! Looks fun!
