Let's hear it for Marshall! Not every day my little berg gets to steal the snow show, haha

Combining both waves for the 15/16th I had 10.2" here in total. This is the biggest storm in just under 5 yrs when (ironically) Marshall also led the pack for this CWA with an 11.6" total. The 16" depth is just a bit shy of what we had post GHD-2 six years ago. Certainly has that 14 & 15 feel to it out there attm. Extremely high-end CAT-2 storm but with the existing base felt more like the 2nd half of a CAT-4 so it played like a much bigger story. What's odd is that I'm just "run of the mill" with my stats due to the massiveness of this system and the past 2 weeks. KTOL for instance had their 3rd largest 2-day storm ever with 14.5" and their 17" depth is highest since bliz of '78 (see other thread for vid btw).

this has been the biggest lake snow I have witnessed

I must have missed this post.  Where are you located?  This was hands down the biggest and best LES event I have ever witnessed for the Chicago area.  Even though I received about 6" of snow and not the insane totals, it was a storm I'll never forget.  I'm glad you had a great experience as did many Chicagoans.

By far the best storm for the Lower Lakes this season.  Like you said, it felt more like a higher end winter storm due to the already existing deep snow pack.  The drifts around town on top of roofs, around homes, bushes, open areas looks amazing.  My snow depth is also at a solid 16".  ORD reports a snow depth of 21" (highest since Feb '11 post GHD-1 storm) and MDW at 26" (highest since Feb '79).  If this is the last big dog of the season around here, then it was quite the way to cap off the season.  I'm sure there will be more snow systems before Spring has sprung to add to the incredible back-loaded season.  Congrats to you and the rest of the MI crew.

I posted a snapshot of the impressive 2-day snow shield this storm laid down...

Totally done here with everything and I'd say I'm right around 6.5 total depth to 7 and then there are drifts. Going to be looking at this snow til at least Friday afternoon for sure.

This is not a week (and the frigid lead-up) I'll ever forget. I don't recall one like it in my life.

I'm glad you were able to enjoy some of this winters wrath.  Def a memorable period for many of us on here.  Post some pictures later!

Thanks Jaster! I actually had that site bookmarked already, but thought your map looks like it’s higher resolution and better than I could get them.

No prob. There's a ton of different settings baked into that site and tbh, I've had it for a couple years and just now getting more familiar with how to get exactly the best out of it.
