I drove up to Lake Goodwill that day with my GF at the time and her kids. We had no snow in Mountlake Terrace so their minds were BLOWN when we found 8" of untouched powder at the park by the lake. It went from nothing to heavy snow cover in about 2 miles. Had a lot of fun sledding and making snow angels that day.

I know it's not much to hang a lot of hope on, but the last two EPS control runs develop a high amp block over the GOA / Aleutians later in the run.  The PV breaks up and makes the situation more favorable.

Why don't you have 1?

I only make $700 being disabled with very severe epilepsy, came from a very broken home. I am very lucky to have been taken in by an amazing new family ang group of caregivers. It sometimes takes me 20 minutes to type out something as simple as this and keeping facts in my head and trying to stay organised are nearly impossible.

This month is making up for the nearly snowless January they had over there.  It's usually petty hard for them to hold onto cold air this late in the winter, but they are doing it this time around.

No worries, a handful of us including me haven't had one. Certain things like rainfall amounts have been out of the question for me but thankfully there is someone a mile or two from my place who is able to chime in when t'storms happen. Think that person is connected to CoCoRaHs.

I don't know how Venmo works, is it like paypal? I have a gofundme to hopefully get to as many different arenas around the PNW and then the country to help others with epilepsy keep their spirits up...whenever COVID protocols are eased.

This is probably the most incredible snow pic near my house I've taken. 11pm February 11 2019. Looks like a mountain pass.

Wow, if no location was given I'd have guessed that was right on the cascades. ;)

Sheesh, looking at those pics is nuts. Thanks for sharing ;)

Looking back on that day I'm confident it was the most impressive snow day I'd experienced at home. We even had thunder snow and 3.8 inches in 1 hour. Me and my son stood on the deck for an hour and watched it. I remember telling him this could be a once In a lifetime snow event.

Sounds like what would be Jan 1950 down here in town.

I don't man I'm old school I guess. I got this buddy and I appreciate your generosity.

You sir are awesome!  I was going to offer to chip in as well, but I see you have addressed that.  When I first read his message, my immediate thought was to get a pool going (I am unemployed and can't really afford to do a full up station on my own) so thank you for doing this.

Global temperatures are below 1981-2010 climatology for the first time in half a decade. Took a Niña, SSW, -NAO, and retracted IPWP to pull it off, but we did it.

Now we just need this IPWP structure and seasonal RW/NAO output to lock in for..a few decades? 😂

Yeah February is so different now than before 2010.. But soon we'll probably start returning to snowy/cold first halfs of winter again. My last truly snowy Decembers were 2015, 2012 and 2010.

Obviously we all hope the next month to shine will be January.  December had an amazing run basically from 1983 through 2014.  Feb has been having an incredible run 2011 to present.
