Cold air is FLOODING in today. PDX up to 52 with WSW winds after an INSANE band of light rain. Wow!!!!

Wonder if they will get a sub-50 high at any point this month. That’s like the lowest bar possible for cool March weather.

Hillsboro stayed at 49 today.

I was gonna say something about it earlier but thought I didn’t wanna jinx it. Just let it happen.

The ECMWF is now notably colder for Tuesday night than the 0z run.  Looks like a couple of late season hard frosts coming up.  Looking like another solidly cold trough later in the week also.

As for tonight...the models have kind of trended away from this area having snow.  looks like the Kitsap Peninsula may have some.  Still nice to see more chilly weather though.

It's already frosty here, this morning was the first with no frost in 6 days.  But, you can't enjoy frost like you can enjoy snow.

Tons of opportunities for anomalous cold to hit us over the next couple of weeks.  The ECMWF ends with a clipper that has a really nice chuck of cold air associated with it.  It appears the incredible cold that has been over Russia for months is going to continue dumping cold into the system for a while.

That is true.  I just like seeing frosty mornings in the spring.  The pattern we are in is one that usually happens during our cold regimes.  Overall cold regimes bring way more enjoyable weather on the whole.  I'm ready for a dry cool summer.

Snow event at my place; looks like over an inch but I'll do a real update when this finishes up ;)

I figured beating the monthly average shouldn't be too difficult to do in a La Nina season.

This sounds like your reverse psychology during Seahawk games. There will probably be plenty of nice weather in May, just like there is most years. ‚ėļÔłŹ

Not all years... and often we can go a week to 10 days in May without seeing the sun out here.     Its a pretty disappointing month overall.

Here is May 1962 for Snoqualmie Falls.    Rained on 21 days and most days were in the 50s.     More recently we had 32 straight days with rain out here from mid May through mid June in 2010.

You used to live in the heart of the c-zone favored area right?   What made you decide to move out of it?   I know Hawkstwelve is also lamenting the move south at times.

Ended up with a 49/37 spread here yesterday. The front late yesterday afternoon had some impressive NW winds behind it.
