Hawkeye
I was not expecting any rain today, but a tiny cell just passed over and produced a shower with gusty wind. Unfortunately, all it did was get everything wet, with no benefit. Tom
Hello from the beaches of sunny California! I took a road trip with the family down to Carlsbad which is just north of San Diego. A strong ridge of HP is situated just over head and bringing some very pleasant weather along the coast. Inland, temps are Hot and its wild to see how much the temp swings in just a matter of a few miles along the coastline. The smell of the ocean is something I miss. Temps are forecast to top out near 80F along the coast today and drop tomorrow and Sun into the upper 60's. Looking forward to walking the beach later today. Meantime, back home, it appears ORD had its first Severe Storm warning of the season and produced picturesque double rainbows.
Tom
While sipping on my coffee and looking out my patio doors, the view of the palm trees in the back ground as the sun rises is a gorgeous site to see. snowstorm83
Looks like the 4th year in a row with April rainfall struggling. 2017 was the last time April had above avg rainfall, also every year since then March has been wetter than April...pretty weird. 3 Quote Snowfall in Lincoln, NE: 2017-18: 21.4" 2018-19: 55.5" 2019-20: 17.6" 2020-21: 49.4" 2021-22: 5.1" Average: 26"

I got up to 85° while northern Iowa was a little warmer. Even Tx. was cooler under clouds. I didn’t like the windy conditions whipping the tender vegetation. Top gust here was 50 mph at 1:35pm.
