According to the HRRR, yes, there would be 2 waves and the NAM also was showing this as well on the 12z run...it'll start filling in later this afternoon.

Snowing moderately in Racine, Flake size near 1/2" across.\

 

Breezy, but not that windy yet. Probably get windy towards the back edge.

Man, it was snowing way hard here a while ago. And windy. Prolly picked up an inch. Looks to be done now unless a 2nd wave develops.

Getting hammered here...almost stopped snowing now its D**n near a whiteout.

Exactly my point...Dry air was overcome, and it's snowing at a good rate here - small sized flakes.

Looking at the radar, N IL should fair rather well with this first wave...looks like returns are maintaining strength and some pockets increasing as well.  I-90 corridor is getting hit hard right now.

Definitely a nice little surprise here. Only negative is that I'm at work, at a car dealership.

Holy crap is it snowing hard!  Visibility dropped to about 2 blocks and with the wind, it looks and feels like blizzard conditions out there.  Crazy bursts.  Very nice snowfall.  Exactly what I expected to see out of this Clipper.  No doubt it is snowing the hardest of the season thus far!

Anyone in the vicinity of N COOK and points west (give or take 10 miles south and north) are in the prime locations to see sustained snowfall.  This band is heading due east.  Could pick up a quick 1-2" outta this.

So looks like the Euro did bad again with this Clipper and the RGEM/GGEM/NAM were the ones that look to be the best models that handled this Clipper.

Snowing all the way back to Minneapolis yet. Should easily get 2-3 here.

At work here in Lombard we had about a 15min burst and now back to very light snow. Looking at radar it looks like northern Dupage did better

Looks like heavier snow will move in again shortly and same areas should get hit again.

Difficult to measure because of the blowing snow, but think I'm at or just above 1". More is moving my way from the west.
