All I got out of this is a few sprinkles this morning.  That's fine with me.

Last evening I thought for sure the forecast was a bust.  We had fairly heavy snow in the late afternoon, but hard to accumulate in the daytime hours of April.  About 8:30 PM it started to snow, which went till after midnight.  I woke up this morning with a solid 2" on the grass and cars.  Streets and sidewalks had no accumulation, but were very slick in places.  Our school parking lot looked like glass when I arrived 15 minutes ago.  Our school supt. even tweeted this morning that he'd been out driving and warned of slick spots, but that school would be starting on time.

@ClintonDid you guys get any accumulation?  I usually look at the KC Scout highway camera website, but it appears to be down.  With a brother and family living in Shawnee, I am always interested in KC weather.  Oh, and I'm also a huge Royals fan.

About a 1/2in here snow didn't start until 6:30.  It will have a hard time piling up with the daylight.

34* forecast for tomorrow morning. I'm on the line. Just West of me will see 32*

That's 25* below normal for North Texas in late April.

If some of it can stay around it may protect your vegetation from the freeze.

Yeah, that'd be nice. I have quite a few things I'll need to cover for a couple of nights as it is.

My forecast high for next Monday is 81. Good ole Kansas weather...lol

I'm looking for some strong thunderstorms around the 29th.  Maybe we'll get some real spring weather.

Measurement has since been updated to 3.5in.  In Warrensburg snowfall never exceeded 1in.

The weather observer at KCI measured 3.2" around the time the snow was wrapping up, so today is officially the largest snowfall this late into spring on record in Kansas City (previous record was 2.7" on this date in 1992). It is also tied for the 10th latest snowfall on record.

Officially 3.1" in TOP yesterday. This bumped us up to 15.5" for the season which is still 2.3" below the seasonal norm of 17.8". I had closer to 4" at my house. By afternoon it had all melted. It's like winter was in town for a few hours and stopped by to visit before moving on.

0.1" on my deck railing last night took me to 36.2" on the season. A scant 73% of avg. Lamest winter snow total since 97-98 or even 82-83 for me personally. I'm glad for the models busting here Tbh. In full spring mode myself.

Unless there is yet another snow event this past winters  total snow fall of 45.8" at Grand Rapids will the the lowest since the winter of 1982/83 when 35.9" fell. This will also be the 2nd lowest snow fall at Grand Rapids since the reporting site moved to its current location in 1963.
