IMO this is probably a “double dip” -ENSO. Where SST/ONI conditions warm to neutral over the warm season, followed by a return to -ENSO during the autumn. The OKW timing fits decently enough.

I think El Niño is increasingly likely for 2022/23.

Regardless of what happens next year ENSO-wise, I just hope that CA and OR (and hopefully other regions of the SW U.S.) have a much wetter season and more mountain snow after Norcal having two dismally dry winters in a row.

Areas East of the Cascades are stating to see drought conditions.

That entire area gets very little rain in the summer anyways... so its going to be hard to change that reality until the fall.

If this Fall is going to be anything like the last two, expect dry until Thanksgiving.

All of October I had 0.06" and a trace in September.

Got up to 72 today for back-to-back highs in the 70s. That means we've had 12 days with highs 70+ since beginning of April. Not too shabby!

You say that like it’s a good thing. 🤨

Beautiful day. Lots of dark a** clouds on the horizon that reminded me of spring storms in Texas. Amazing sunset to finish it off.

That is amazing!

Friend of mine lives in the Birchwood neighborhood and posted a picture on FB of a very spectacular double rainbow this afternoon.

My wife works in the Happy Valley neighborhood and said they had some crazy wind and rain today.  Up at my house off Britton, it was breezy and we've only seen .15" of rain today.  It did get really dark at one point, but we didn't get anything from it.

Nope.

It’s not ideal spring weather for your ecosystem, at least.
