Up to 1.67” this month. Better than I feared. Looking at the models we have a real shot at 3”, still below average, but some cool showers on and off this month. Could be worse. In 2018 and 19 we torched big time in May.

Up to .27 on the day with some sunbreaks. Heavier showers should be moving in soon.

So far .87 for the month, or 41% of the way to normal rainfall for May within the first 7 days.

Hoping for some thunderstorms to develop over the next few hours.

You sure that's accurate for your location?

Already down to 44 under clearing skies.  Nice chilly interlude.  Hard to believe it was 70 at this time two days ago!

We had a couple of rounds of hail here today and some of it was pretty good sized.

I had the privilege of coming down with that in January 2008...We all know what happened 11 months later. Luckily I only puked for a week straight...Then I took a Cruise!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

00Z ECMWF looks less troughy later next week.

00Z run last night on top and new 00Z run on the bottom...

I knew you’d pop in to post about it though. ;)

You often get burned by these proclamations.    Time will tell.

If I had to bet... I would go with a watered down trough that brings very little rain except for the usual spots.

Brother just last week you were pimping out those crazy cutoff solutions that turned out to be completely wrong. We wasted a page bickering over it, remember? 😁

All things considered I’m kind of surprised how bullish you’ve been on warmth/ridging this year. It’s not like there’s much (if any) analog support for such a background state right now.

Its been almost the complete opposite of what I expected this Nina spring.    The troughs and the rain have been quick hitters... and there has been lots of sunny, warm days.    So different than years like 2008, 2011, and 2012.

And we had the driest March/April period ever.   Did not see that coming.

Ended up with an impressively chilly 55 / 42 for Friday.   Really nice temperature variability this spring.

This feels like La Nino.  A La Nina that has personality disorders and often confuses itself with it's brother counterpart.   This Spring has the definition of it with a lot of warm days and some cold 'La Nina' signals at times like it wants to go that way but refuses.

It's down to 33F by the way. Was 41F by 11pm.  Thought we were done with the 30s club till fall.

I can’t wait for BOTW2 man. 👍

We need more Hinoxes!  BOTW they should've just given you the paraglider if the game detects you played it once on your system and left the tutorial. The old guy would then give you the option to do his stupid fetch quest or outright give it to you and ask if your truly ready to venture out.
