I finally finished the partial engine rebuild I did on my 1997 Expedition, and it runs fantastic!  Yay!  From that standpoint all of the dry weather has been a blessing since I was doing it outside.

I ended up with a 56 / 42 here today.  Pretty cool for this time of year.

Yeah every year since we moved here in 2017 but usually it's just an inch or two here and there sprinkled throughout the month.

Don't think I've seen more than 3-4" in a single storm for the month of May. Record single day snowfall is 15" (1938) in Bozeman so obviously not even close to a record.

Sounds like a snowy climate there.

My latest 3+ inchers are in March. I had a 2" day in April 2012 but that was a cooler and wetter La Nina than this one by a long shot.

I'd rather have that over torrential melanoma. 🤣

My son got the auto repair bug and we ended up finding a decommissioned police package 2014 Ford Explorer for him. The thing was in ruff shape and he’s turned our 3rd bay into a mini repair shop complete with a broken snow shovel. The Haynes manual has become his bible.

I’ve found this spring to be pretty enjoyable. Could have been a little wetter here to better prepare my lawn for the summer dryness, but overall a pretty good mix of clouds and sun with just enough deck weather along the way.

I agree, pretty balanced Spring weather for us

Explorers and Expeditions are good vehicles.  My Expedition has over 250,000 miles on it.  It was certainly due to have some major work done.  You Tube was a great resource for me.

That's pretty cool you got him a police model.  They usually have an engine capable of greater horsepower than the regular ones.  They tune them down before they sell them to the public, but can probably be put back pretty easily.

Considering the lack of any model talks from either Tim or Snow (the usual extreme scenarios) I recon it's a pretty .🤮 🔫 pattern coming up.  Oh and also considering this is becoming an auto repair forum.

Don't you got enough up there? Down here is where the moderate drought line is. We haven't had much rain since the Feb ice storm which we were at the edge of.

The roads never even got that icy so we left quickly on a staycation when it got cold inside. The temps the entire storm stayed above 29F.  In fact drive 5 miles south and you were in the 40F land yet here trees were destroyed all over. I'm surprised how little damage buildings had despite thousands of trees wrecked many old.

Hey my hills are down to only a couple inches of snow, and Baring/Index are starting to lighten up. Unacceptable! lol

You could always buy my neighbor that i had to invol's house when it comes up for sale lol (and boy is that a story)

Pretty decent 6z GFS run.  A good amount of cool northerly flow being shown.

61/37 day yesterday. Clear and chilly start then mostly cloudy with some patches of drizzle late.

Mostly cloudy with a milder low of 48 this morning.

It’s really a shame we couldn’t squeeze more rainfall out of these short lived troughy patterns. At least the foothills and mountains have done ok the last couple days.

Looks sunny there. 🌞

It was...A few more clouds popping up now. Debating on if I should spray weeds or hold off if we end up getting a few showers.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

It’s been improving for weeks now and we have a long stretch of warm and dry anomalies to show for it.

More dry than warm, regionally. If you actually look at LR projections for the last month across guidance, the mean bias has been warm/wet (wet bias is significant, warm bias is slight).

Dribbles and drizzle here, since about noon yesterday.  Only 0.03” to show for it but enough to keep the dust down
