House just got rattled by a strong gust and woke me up. Did not expect the winds to be as strong as it is tonight.

Our house was rocking in the wind most of the night... sounded like winter out there.   Glad I remembered to take the umbrellas down.

Picked up almost .50 of rain overnight... dry now and still windy and feels really cold.

This has been the theme this spring.  Lots of sunny, pleasant days punctuated by deep, cold troughs... including two snow events in April.

One of my earliest childhood memories was hearing that massive boom and running into my parents bedroom that morning slightly freaked out.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

It snowed at my sister’s piano recital.

And now sun... looks like some strong cells developing down around Olympia.   Could get pretty active with some heating from the sun.

I heard it too as a kid living near Deception Pass.  I had been following the news about St. Helens since it started, and as soon as I heard the boom, I turned on the radio.  It took a while until there were reports about something happening at Mt. St. Helen's.

I actually heard several booms though one was real loud and caused the windows to shake.

Nice. 56 here with a decent amount of sunbreaks as well. No showers since early this morning but I’m sure we will get hit at some point this afternoon.

Long range EPS looks like death. Nasty blowtorch signal considering it’s 360hrs in advance.

Yeah... we control the weather.    Its cold and raining now.   If nature wants to give us another warm, sunny period then I will do my best to enjoy it.    As will millions of other people in the PNW.   👍
