Let's end this heatwave with a bang!

Won't be crying uncle regardless of what happens.

Models oversold this too.

I saw plenty of runs that spit out temps that never materialized.

I'm impressed by the event but it's not what I expected....not nearly as impressed as I thought I was going to be.

Sounds like you've got personal problems with expectations that are unrelated to meteorology and weather forecasting.

Keep coming back. :)

Still 108 at PDX about roughly 3 hours after peak heating is just incredible.

That fire must’ve took off. I’d imagine some of us in western OR and maybe WA might be seeing some of this smoke soon.

Our current hot spot around Central Sound is near Renton, still sitting at 99F. At 8:30pm. Unbelievable.

I feel as though easterlies will keep it mostly out of the north valley. Could be a rough go further south tho

Unfortunately it looks like it’s pretty close to Weed CA.

Really hate seeing this but this is the reality of having to deal with dry and hot conditions. It will be a rough summer unless we can somehow flip the switch for July and August.

House remained 72 inside with just 2 cheap window A/C units. The house is also built on a concrete slab so that helps a bunch also. Some places will not drop below 80 tonight I bet.  This is unbelievable.  Still low 90's here and it feels pleasant compared to earlier.

Down here tomorrow both the GFS and EURO are showing the Aurora area to be the hotspot. Will be interesting to see if that verifies.

Wow I might not make 100 tomorrow either!

On Saturday, NWS was forecasting 98 today and 100 tomorrow at KBLI. Temp today fell 3 degrees short of the mark. If that warm bias continues, it will still beat the old record of 96 set in 2009, but fall short of triple-digit territory.

Looks like the cool down will be long and drawn out instead of an instantaneous crash.
