Approaching 24 hours in which it’s been raining for over 90% of the time here. Just glorious and way overdue. Moderate rain currently.

Here are those pictures, I think my favorite is the one where the sunset almost seems to be illuminating the clouds from underneath

Russell Wilson showed up at my son's flag football game today. Apparently his son plays on one of the other teams in the league. My son lost his game but said it didn't matter since he got to meet Rus

10 (maybe 9) degree anomaly from normal at PDX today. Extremely unremarkable. Especially since we had 6 straight days within the last 10 days that were more anomalous than that in the other direction. Up to 23 degrees more than normal. Zero rain. Sun breaks at times. Gentle breeze. What an impressive trough!

Imagine a high in the middle-40s..that is the inverse equivalent of last week’s warm spell.

The strangest thing. My cherry tree, the ones that bloom pink flowers died.  It was here when I moved in the house in 2004. It was always a late bloomer usually mid to late may but it's dead not even leaves on it. The surrounding trees all look healthy. Very strange.

Radar is still extremely anemic, but some frontal lifting should occur this evening briefly over NW OR. May squeeze a few brief puddles out of it, but the more optimistic models were obviously overzealous like always.

I think the PDX radar is down until maybe the 13th? It's raining pretty hard here right now.

Yeah, I'm just using the UW regional view, which I assume takes a composite of the different radar stations and parlays it as well as possible.

We're close enough up here to the Langley Hill site to at least get a reasonably accurate proxy.

I was thinking that myself. My dad had a cherry tree that lived for awhile and then all of a sudden one spring it did not come back. Then later a Mulberry tree took over the spot.

It definitely is winter-like today.   There is no doubt about it.   And it will not warm up any time soon.

Wife had a baby shower to attend in Eatonville so my son and I took the opportunity to go to Northwest Trek for the first time. Not the best of weather with constant rain coming down but we made the best of it. Some Bison got very close to our car which was awesome for me but a little scary for my son. Still had a blast though.

Plan to go back when it's a little nicer out and hopefully see some of the animals we missed. Plus their playground looked awesome for the kids, just ran out of time and was a bit too wet today.

I was just looking at my weather records.  Today's high of 59 is the coolest June high since 58 last year also on the 6th.

I found it interesting on both my Battle Ground and Vancouver stations, June 5th-15th is the coolest period of the month.

Example: In 25 years of records, the average high on the 3rd is 74, but just 69 on the 10th.
