Approaching 24 hours in which it’s been raining for over 90% of the time here. Just glorious and way overdue. Moderate rain currently.

Here are those pictures, I think my favorite is the one where the sunset almost seems to be illuminating the clouds from underneath

Russell Wilson showed up at my son's flag football game today. Apparently his son plays on one of the other teams in the league. My son lost his game but said it didn't matter since he got to meet Rus

Yeah... It's almost foolproof.

It's time to ban all talks of colder then average until the 7 day window.  There problem solved. :)

I forgot how nice it is to sleep with ac. It's been a few years.

Let's just keep this heat cycle going! Crank it up boys! The more AC we use the hotter it shall get globally! Let's burn this whole mother f'ker region down!  :)  Might as well get it over with instead of dragging it all out.

The GFS looks closer to what I’d expect with a Pacific-transiting CCKW (initially).

But the ECMWF has been humiliating the GFS of late. And the GFS is the only global operational model to cut off that ULL. So..tough.

Seems like the euro is right about 60-70% of the time. I don’t honestly keep track all the time though.

Yesterday’s 06z was a warm outlier too.

But I never wager cool at-range with an active Pacific.

Technically it’s water *vapor*. Which helps carry fungal spores and accelerates heat stroke.

Lake Washington buoy water temp is up to 69 degrees today. Lake Sammamish is the same.

Bodes very well for a solid start to the Summer for watersports.

Lake Sammamish buoy is up to 71 now in the middle of the lake.

My son is out there now with his friends on the boat.     He only has one day off from work this week so its nice that the warm weather hung on for one more day.

That was me. I was just mentioning that one member of the Euro ensembles was forecasting 109 at PDX mid-month. I don't actually expect our all-time temperature record to be broken. The operational GFS is very warm mid-month. The GFS and Euro ensembles are not. Yet.

Sometimes I am glad I don't live that close to the water... I wouldn't like the evenings to get so chilly so fast on these nice days.   Its still 68 and humid and completely calm here.   Gorgeous evening.

That is crazy... its still going to be about 75 tomorrow.   At least down here.  You would think the cold air mass had arrived with you dropping almost into the 40s before its even completely dark.

Totally off topic but really cool. Back in January my son begged me to lend him money to invest into a company.  I did lend him some cash and he invested it into dogecoin lol. He made a small fortune!!! I don't like to loan money but for a 23 year old man to want to invest and not blow the money was impressive.

New Euro weeklies still bullish on a big pulse of Indian Ocean convection from late June into July, with large scale subsidence over the Pacific (looks like a phase 2-3 VP200 signature).

Could really benefit the West if it verifies.

I’m sure you realize how many people in drought stricken areas across the country would love that type of weather right now? You’re being given a gift, bro.
