Seattle had a high of 29 today. Pretty impressive. Now we need some flurries.

Pretty much calm.  Little westerly breeze occasionally blowing things off the roof tops.  It's absolutely gorgeous.

Mark Nelsen is going with 1-3 inches tomorrow for PDX and nothing for the weekend. He seems pretty confident that the weekend system will stay well south. Hoping everything trends north.

I would be happy with a 10 minute flurry blowing in the wind at this point.

 

NWS has me at 30% tonight for a half inch.  Looking at satellite I am struggling to figure out how its not 0%.

The radar looks exactly like the ECMWF showed... except the precip is not really reaching the ground up here.    Still... it had the location nailed almost perfectly.

For the bc lower mainland forget about it until maybe late Sunday or early Monday. Even then looks like a quick inch or two before transitioning. Maybe things will trend better.

Some juicy looking echos coming in behind the main snow band, showery stuff though so probably won't be as effective at getting over the coast range.

I'm not saying I trust the NAM, but the 0z buries the Portland area.

It's regrettably hard to measure snow when it comes in sideways all day. If I knew how to upload a video to this site from my iPhone, I'd show a 10-second clip of the blizzard conditions we had to endure in Battle Ground much of Thursday. As the precip enters a lull, I'd go with 6" of snow (estimated) with a high temp of 20F (not estimated).
