WRF at 1 p.m. on Sunday:

That is the problem with GFS scenario... but its the likely outcome.

Low cruises up the coast and the warm air floods northward as offshore flow is cut off.   Except for Jesse.   :)

Here's a picture of the little bit of snow we got this morning here at WWU.

Wasn't more than 1/4" but since the ground was so frozen it caked everything impressively well.

I think the GEM scenario is more likely. Three lows all ride the arctic air boundary, and when it gets pushed up slightly north a weak low breaks through the boundary? Doesn't look likely at all to me.

I bet that melted when the sun came out, we got a real good education on that earlier. HEHEHE LOL

Sorry Tim, I know I was annoyed earlier with that conversation but I couldn't pass up a barb.

Had to say it.

Didn't so much melt as it did evaporate in the sun.

The ground is still totally white here in places that didn't get much direct sunlight.

Thats called melting in the sun... it was above freezing there. I have seen small amounts of snow evaporate when its 15 degrees... it called melting at 36. :)

I'm thinking the snow is over for the south valley.  Now if only it would clear out for a weekend of skiing around the lowlands.  Nope, ice and 33-degree rain.  Hoping for more of the latter and less of the former.

This is at least double the snowpack I have ever seen in the PNW lowlands, will remember this one for a long time.

Definetly may need an Ice Storm Warning for the Willamette Valley.

I believe most areas south of the Columbia River saw 3"+

Here in BG, we may have an inch today?  And most of that is recent with the most moderate snow of the day falling here.

1.5 inches or so and that might be generous.  The warning definitely didn't verify for the metro area.

Yeah, I guess the SW metro area sounds like they got a bit more.  Still, as it turns out the models handled this one pretty well although for the second time they didn't handle the deformation precip all that well.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Yah, this one didn't produce at all. Don't think we even got an inch in Washougal. Most all of it has come in the last 2 hours. Very light snow. Hopefully heavier tomorrow before the dreaded south wind breaks through!
