I will call your bets with my own 87*

Looks like we’re going to avoid 90 today but bumping up to 88 is definitely possible in the next hour. Should hit 90 tomorrow.

I keep seeing how SLE (Salem) is an outlier for hotness. ;)  I guess that makes Everett the outlier for coolness?  Uhhh, sure.

It topped out at 77F here today, which is cooler by a few degrees from yesterday.  It is still 77F at the moment, but I don't see it getting any hotter.  We'll leave the hotness to Salem. ;)  Cheers everyone!

The grass fire was contained pretty quickly this afternoon, sounds like a truck caught on fire and sparked it.

A lot going on today on satellite. Convection over the cascades and a thunderstorm near Medford. Smoke aloft from Northern California working its way north and lots of smoke in BC.

Getting some beneficial moderate rainfall here this evening without lightning which is always very welcome. Looks like the airport has already picked up nearly 1/4" of rainfall. Currently 65 degrees.

U are running a bit colder this summer then the rest of the sound

It’s not too uncommon for our area to be on the cool side compared to many places. On warm summer days we tend to get wind out of the N/NE off the sound keeping us slightly cooler.

Like others said on here today…87 didn’t even really feel all that hot after last months nightmare.

Full on thunderstorm here in K-Falls. Downpour, close rumbles and visible lightning here.

IMO not quite video worthy but definitely something to work off of!

Question is, why was the Biden administration hiding the info for so long?

Probably because Biden only got 26% of the vote in this precinct last November.

54/89 today, currently 73.  I'll be curious to see what materializes of the potential moisture this coming week.  My son comes home tomorrow for a visit and has lots of outdoor activities planned.  I will unfortunately have to work most of the time he is here but hope to at least get out in the kayaks with him.
