One of the only parts of Rainier that mostly melts out in the summer, mainly because of how vertical the rock face is. My guess would be that assessing conformance with siting standards would be the main thing they do at that meeting. Then for the record candidate sites that meet the standards, send the instruments in for professional calibration to assess how correct the readings were. Quote It's called clown range for a reason. The current lower maximums are more similar to what happened in the early 20th century. In the old Fort Snelling weather diaries from Minnesota in the 1830s and 1840s they talk about smoke every summer as the West and the Plains burned naturally and uncontrolled.
