A summer trough parking itself directly over the PNW for 3-4+ days with stratiform rain and drizzle at times. The problem is baking under ridging and warm anomalies for months/weeks then getting these glancing blows from weak troughs that aren’t even able to fully move through the region. Just enough to stir things up without any of the benefits.

ShawniganLake
Our cabin up in the Cariboo is being threatened by fire. About 1000 properties just to our west have had a tactical evacuation this morning. Aggressive fire behaviour with ground crews being pulled off the fire with only air attack being implemented at last report. 1 6
