We'll see, there's also a bit of enhancement offshore in the mid levels that could fire off a few more showers later this a.m.

Can see it, but the trajectory and tracking of this system makes it harder for any offshore enhancements to move inland. We’ll probably be clearing out by sunrise.

Wow didn’t think I’d ever see Jesse or any of the “OG” members getting perma banned. Kinda Sad. Dude was here a long time forum’s definitely gonna feel different.

A little sadge, I don't mind passive aggressiveness and Jesse contributed to a lot of discussions that I've seen (and obviously detracted as well). I can see the reasoning, however. I hope Mossman comes back...and I hope that Jesse comes back after a bit of a break. He seemed to really want to step away from the forum for a bit anyways, maybe it'll do him some good.

He got perma banned don’t think he’s coming back. I wish he hadn’t have done as much of his passive aggressive posts and such over the years. Sometimes it was funny but other times he was being a little too hostile IMO. Still like the dude maybe somewhere down the road he will be able to return.

No one had ever stayed permabanned on here. Even Josh with all of his shenanigans. Jesse will be back soon enough, whether or not he made the choice to stay will be highly up to him but I don’t think he’ll go away easily. Same with MossMan.

You were gonna also stepped away too but you came back.

Lol honestly the main reason I came back as soon as I did was less than a week later the biggest heatwave of all time happened and I couldn’t miss that! Would’ve been like sitting out during a 21st century January 1950 redux!

Really? I’m surprised you didn’t get any rain… the shortwave moved right over you? It’s raining here now 😄

Had some rain on my windshield this morning but grounds dry still. Hopefully we can get some rain on the backside of this atleast if there’s no lightning.

Got two lightning strikes out of this thunderstorm that popped up right overhead. One of those lightning strikes was right over the house. As of now, there are no other developments in the area. Ground is now very wet from that short and intense burst of rain.

Sometimes you just win the jackpot...

In other news, unbeknownst to me while standing outside, the sudden burst of rain awakened a brood of hungry mosquitos, which emerged from the earth to give me three bites in total on my left arm and leg.

The poor bastards…. If only they know better to not bite  you and take your blood. RIP them. Mourning for the brave fellas. 😞

oh….. and are you okay?

Yep no rain here and it’s actually clear…might just be imagining things but it kinda smells slightly smoky out too.

Might be left over from the area of thick smoke that came through over night.

Looking at the IR loop... the Schneider Springs fire looks quite active again with a broad area of SW wind behind that front.   That fire was started by lightning during the same storm that brought thunder and brief heavy rain to my area on August 3rd.

00Z EPS was first run to show wetter than normal across most of WA and OR... its moving up in time and not backing down which is usually a good sign it is actually going to happen.

We had 94/37 yesterday, impressive spread more typical of October here. Also interesting that Sep 7 2020 was 94 degrees but after a low of 46.

The daily record was 98 in 1902. Nice that it's at least been a long time since KLMT last matched one.

Unfortunately, the 12z GFS is a big step back from the mid range troughing the 0z had.

It gets there by day 10 or 11... but the 7-10 day period is much drier.

That is the way its been going lately.   It can't seem to get within 7 days.

This has been a more prolonged smoke than last year, much like 2018. But looking like we're avoiding a major disaster like we had around this time last year. Most of the entire summer had bad air quality, only a few relief days thrown in.
