Classic arctic front profile in central BC for that fantasy range trough on the 12z. Makes me excited again for the upcoming model riding season... 🤞

Sometimes models pick up on a very prominent feature in the long range, and stick with it for a few runs, or even few days, before dropping it entirely. Could be some signal that stands up from the noise, an indication of what "regime" the atmosphere is in (i.e. propensity for the atmosphere to result in troughs/ridges), or complete randomness (same result, completely different route. Same pattern but totally different "result"; this is statistically bound to happen from time to time)

either way, it's just eye candy

Pretty much. Now watch it drop into Northern Plains. I've seen this show before.

Put the dogs to work earning their keep. They can shovel the driveway and the sidewalks. They just need a suitable shovel and a little bit of training.😉

The kids and the dogs will need to be put to work for snow removal the last week of November!

I’d gladly take *some* of this rain off New York’s hands…. 7 inches in just a few hours?  Nuts.

This is pretty stupid.

Maybe... but even at day 10 it still has a quite a way to go to get to a rainy pattern.    That troughing could easily just spin away up to the north.    All it will take is Jim to declare cold victory.  😁

I said the week of the 13th, not the 11th ;)

Looks like the CPC agrees with my same thought.

The start of fall. I'd imagine the 90s are done for most starting then.

Almost as much as Portland has had in the last 6 months.

There are massive flooding everywhere in NYC... flood waters are bursting into homes and the subway system. Streets are overflow. Newark with over 7" of rain for the day.  Just dumb!

Seattle's wettest day on record is a little over 5" of rain.

High of 79 today and beautiful day. Mild enough to run the oven and make homemade beef jerky. There is no comparison to storebought - this is way better!

Love it! What kind of meat do you use?

I have a dehydrator at home that I used to make chicken and beef jerky often. Last batch I made was honey sriracha flavored and it was was so good!

This is my latest batch of shredded lemon leaves chicken jerky. I used 2lbs  worth of chicken breast. Super delicious! The weather been nice enough where I can leave the dehydrator outside for couple hours to dried. Almost gone 😂

I use London Broil. Don’t have a dehydrator unfortunately so in the oven at 170 for a few hours does the trick. Never tried chicken jerky before.
