Woke at 6 a.m. to light rain, an overnight accumulation of 0.71", and a giant sucking sound as the vegetation slurps up the desperately-needed moisture.

Radar and satellite both look good for more light rain before this round is done. Not exactly an epic score, but not a rug-pull by any means.

You may well get 1"+ by the time Monday rolls around.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Ended up with 2.08” so far out of this event, with .88” coming since midnight.

We had a hellacious downpour at some point during the night, I think it was between 5-6

Also lost our Comcast service at some point during the night, which is quite rare for my area.

Well 4" at the 24 hour mark exactly. Not bad. Guess Euro doesn't like my area.

Edit: Snow starting to mix in ~6,500 ft as well. Might get some dusting on a few peaks in the area.

Your area got much more than around here... looks like the stations around here are in the 1.25 - 1.75 range in the last 24 hours.

Storm total is at .90 at SEA and 1.03 at PDX.

Main frontal band is done up here... should be plenty of post frontal showers today but Seattle might be shadowed.

Really impressive cold front last night.  It jumped up to 70 just ahead of the front and then plunged to well below 60 in a short time with fairly strong winds and heavy rain.  Ended up with about an inch here.  Pretty surprising to see it's going to return to mostly dry again so quickly.

I do have to say the ECMWF has been stinking up the joint with it's very high rainfall projections for recent events.  We ended up with about half of what had been shown a few days ago.

Currently standing at about 2.5" for the month after getting about 1" in the second half of last month. Pretty safe to say the dry season is over here. We may be heading into a dry stretch but I can’t see it drying out completely now that the equinox is almost here.

Looks like a pretty potent area of showers headed for around Astoria on the Langley Hill radar.  Things could get interesting later.

Yeah... its been greening up here since the middle of August.   Its going to be lush green here now for the rest of fall regardless of the pattern.   It does not dry out much after we get past the middle of September even when its sunny for an extended period.   It does look really nice coming up.

He hated me with every fiber of his being but us Clark County folks gotta stick together.

Meanwhile, a deep coating of water on everything. Hasn’t melted off the trees or anything yet.

Last week I was noticing that most lawns in this area, after being thoroughly parched for much of the summer, were visibly greening. I expect this pattern to continue. Was biking along the grid roads in the farm country north of town this week, and noticed that the county has resumed mowing the roadsides.

It's called clown range for a reason.
