His name 'The blob' where he's from the ocean made me think of the ladder story. Normally I wouldn't have posted it but it was meant for him actually and he did read it.  I thought it was neat where he fell off the ladder and lost his stuff but eventually he got rescued.  BTW: If you see a weird ladder covered with moss DON'T climb down!

I'm sorry but somebody on here says they are from 'The Ocean' and it reminded me of a dumb but interesting story on Reddit about a ladder.  I guess people don't read on this site I didn't realize that until now.

Huh?

Not too shabby. Especially good to see in parched southern OR/northern CA.

Can anyone recommend a weather radar site that includes both US and Canadian data? The radar page on atmos.uw.edu sure doesn’t cut it. Coverage of Whatcom County on the Camano Island radar sucks.

RadarScope.

If you decide to go with RadarScope… the CASAG radar is a fantastic help for up there.

Yes, already know about the Aldergrove radar. It’s only about 15 miles away from me, and provides excellent coverage of this area. Right now, what I do is go to the Canadian government radar site to get that data.

RadarScope sounds like it’s just a smartphone app, really most interested in a web site I can visit on my desktop or laptop (larger screen).

It's called clown range for a reason.

Thanks; I did. I like the Canadian government site better. Lets me zoom in.

https://www.weather.gc.ca/map_e.html?layers=radar&zoom=8&center=48.67543287%2C-121.86686008

Would be nice if there were a web site with good zoom capability that incorporated both US and Canadian radar data, but if I must choose, the latter covers my area far better.

Did the new normal just get drier? It doesn't seem impressively wet in Klamath Falls.

I think this is just because it doesn’t need to be “impressively wet” to be significantly above normal in terms of precipitation in a semiarid climate.

This was about a week ago but I finally made it out to the summit of Anderson Mt/Alger Hill with my new (to me) Forester. Super cool subalpine feel once you get above about 3200' up there. Amazing views of the San Juans, Chuckanuts, Lake Whatcom, Twin Sisters and Baker (which I apparently didn't photo). Even saw Rainier coming down the mountain at sunset. It was so beautiful I went back again Saturday before the rain started. Really wish this road was ungated year-round.

The road up to Anderson is open again? It's been closed most of this year! I assume you went up via Parsons Creek and Alger Mountain roads?

It's called clown range for a reason.

Tacoma is great! The freeway traffic and construction is just an ever present downer though. I’m sure it will be great IF it’s done during our life time.... maybe.

we moved here in 1992 and have already heard of this project.

Holy f*ck I hate I-5 near the Tacoma dome. The south and east side are pretty sketch too…but my areas really nice. And that construction on the freeway….will never be done 😂

Yeah and for whatever reason people just slam on their brakes through that area for no apparent reason which almost caused a wreck several vehicles ahead of me…It’s just a repeat of every time I drive through that section.

I swear its the same thing through Everett.    There is always traffic and accidents in the Everett area every time we go up to Bellingham.

Yeah people slam on their brakes as you go down the hill northbound to the flats of Marysville…Not sure if they are looking at the scenery of the sewage treatment plant or what…But it’s very annoying.

For Eugene it’s the goddam Beltline which is a joke of an expressway that doesn’t have proper interchanges due to freeway revolts as the local population would rather destroy the local economy and make it more difficult for trucks to make proper deliveries.

And the local businesses and restaurants are way too fukkin expensive for a very poor guy like me.

Few noteworthy places. Area at Tacoma dome, in Everett as you mentioned, and Northgate in Seattle. The sudden slowdown at Northgate have caused numerous wrecks.
