When looking at the ECMWF you are left wondering what days 11 and 12 would like temperature wise.  This is really big time stuff coming up.  The same type of anomalies in the winter would produce epic results.

Tropical Tidbits has GFS out to hour 284. Shows KOLDDD and a good blast of mountain snow. North Cascades and Olympics would see well over 2'. All the way down through Northern Cali and the Sierra Nevadas gets in on the action.

Looks like multiple BC sliders just shooting down the Strait of Juan De Fuca with more in the barrel.

With the exception of 1955. Anything before the 15th is just a tease.

1955 is such an astonishing outlier I'd argue it's the most impressive airmass the state of Washington has seen outside of maybe June 2021, the end of January 1950, December 1968, or February 1989.

How about November 1985.  I’m fairly certain there is a couple all time record lows in the southern BC interior from that, not sure how far south the extreme went. But all time record lows in November seems wacky

Life update: as some of you know I and my GF were to relocate to Finland back in August then it got "pushed" back to November and now our move has been completely cancelled b/c her employer doesn't want to pay the cost/s. I'm pissed off yet strangely relieved.

So it looks like Ill be sticking around for the foreseeable future.

Now, where's that surly/salty bastard of a fisherman at?

Don't forget late December 1978. That one was a beast.

Blowing the cold load in October again. Our coldest temps will be around my birthday like last year.

Did anybody do worse than 23F on Oct 26 as their coldest temp?

November 3-5th 2017 was a impressive early season snowfall pretty minor but exceptionally early.

That was forecasted pretty earlier also. Models started showing snow 10 days out

Check out 1911!

11/11/11 to be exact.

The arctic front crossed southern Vancouver island during the Remembrance Day ceremonies on 11/11/1955. Victoria Gonzales was 26F with moderate snow and a NE wind at 11am that day.

Checked the state map... there is no way it was snowing in MN today.   Randy's relatives might be pulling his leg.   Or maybe it was a Facebook memory post from another year. 😀
