Skies got really dark and ominous to the west. Some great downpours and lots of lighting and thunder a half hour later. Didn't check the radar until I noticed how the sky was looking pretty convective. I love when these surprises happen. Yeah it was fairly close. It was mostly concentrated between Forest Grove and Hillsboro to the south and North Plains to Helvetia to the north.
