Max gust 8mph here lol. Calmest day I've experienced with such a low barometer.  Today is a good example of why we do good in overrunning snow events.  Cold air wouldn't of been scoured out yet if it had been in place.

The variety of microclimates in this area is incredible.  It seems like every area has it's strengths and weaknesses for the kind of weather they can get.

Dead calm here now which has allowed the chilly air that got brought down with the squall to remain.

Really a one of a kind storm from what I've experienced here.

It looks like some of the stations in San Francisco might have picked up over 4" of rain in the past 24 hours. I'm not familiar with the best climate history websites down there, but this might be up there with some of the wettest 24 hour periods in the history of the city (since 1847).

In terms of tangible weather... this reminds me of many storms here.   Rotating clouds offshore with some squall lines moving inland and some clearing in between and a moderate amount of wind and eventually cooler air comes in from the SW.      Without looking at any maps... this seems like a pretty typical cold season storm in our area.

My one fear while driving down our very heavily wooded main road is this happening during wind events. Thoughts are with the family of the victims.

That looks horrible... I have often thought about that too when driving during a windstorm.

Very anticlimactic approach into Seattle.  The way the pilots were talking, it was going to be a very rough approach.  Coming over the Cascade crest was a little bumpy but that was it….

Unfortunately I am seated next to an air duct run so no pictures.

I saw your posts on that other website for CA and was happy for your haul.

My parents in Oakland had 4 inches in their two gauges from some point on Friday until 11am today. I insisted they check their gauges tonight and as of 5pm they had had 2.5 inches in about 6 hours with more falling at that time.

Yeah, downtown SF is over 4" now, with heavy rain continuing. Definitely one of the wettest storms in the airport era for much of the Bay area and central CA.
