Issaquah is perfect where you’re close the city but also still in the foothills of the mountains. 30 minutes you’re in Seattle or 45 minutes you’re at Snoqualmie Pass

I could live on Lake Sammamish... if the average price of a house was even remotely affordable!

Yeah I was just going to say some places in Idaho fit the bill in terms of climo “greenery” and affordability.

Guess two weeks is too long to go this time of the year without a gutter cleaning. Had a nice waterfall onto my deck a few minutes ago!

The GFS continues to trend sharper with the late week trough.  It also appears the easterly gradient won't get quite as strong as earlier runs had anticipated.  Good news if you want a couple of solidly cold nights.

Friday looks pretty crisp with north winds setting in and highs in the 40s, and then cold Friday and Saturday nights.

I look at Sandpoint, Bayview, CdA, and Bonners Ferry like it's my backyard. Lake Coeur d'Alene is just another lake among many in the area. I feel the same way about Lake Pend Oreille. Newman Lake is probably my favorite lake in the area. Liberty Lake is underrated, too.

GFS is chilly because its shows rain until mid afternoon particularly in King County... ECMWF has been showing clearing that morning with highs in the low to mid 50s and then a decent east wind by Saturday morning.

I'm happy here. I grew up with brown, hot and dusty.  I appreciate the green we have, even in the summer. Maybe if we get lucky down the line we can move where we would get more snow, but at what cost?

It gets pretty brown here in the summer most of the time.  It certainly did this year.

Not yet. We are renting our current house, landlord's a greedy ******* though, way out of touch with reality in what this house is worth, it's nice, but not that nice.  He can deal with the clogged gutters if we move soon 🤣🤣🤣!

1970 continues to show up as an analog on tonight's GFS run.  That has been there for days now.

Another one making a consistent appearance is 1962.  That one is certainly interesting.
