Down to 49 now.  Color me impressed.

Looks like the worst of the wind has wrapped up.

Will catch up later, otherwise I’ve been out enjoying.  Sensory overload is all I can say.  Down at the jetty in the wind I was getting blown around pretty good and at times breath was taken away.  Have no idea the wind speed.  One flash of lightning earlier but for the most part wind and waves!
just got my room and charging the phone a bit.  I have a view of the Westport jetty where that tower is so I’m watching the waves flush over it!
what a day and hope your all enjoying!

Will you rebuild?

I think so. Luckily I brought in the deck furniture cushions earlier in the week. Had they been out and been blown around, it would have been difficult to go on.

Max gust 8mph here lol. Calmest day I've experienced with such a low barometer.  Today is a good example of why we do good in overrunning snow events.  Cold air wouldn't of been scoured out yet if it had been in place.

Big trees down on the east shore of Lake Tapps. I’m heading out to warm up the saw shortly.

Raised my family in Skyline Estates. The wind can really get ripping on the east side of the lake as it comes across the plateau.  I'm south of Bonney Lake now.  That was a heck of a strong squall that blew through.  Lots of trees down blocking many roads in the Bonney Lake area.  Now it's calm and the sun is out.  It will be interesting to see what gets served up overnight.

Your area must be wind shadowed.

To no one's surprises, that was a quick burst and go. BFI had a gust of 51mph, which is actually not bad given the storm's location.

Unfortunately, the storm did turned deadly when a tree fell and killed 2.

The 18z GFS shows each day having successively lower mins for the rest of the month.  That would be pretty neat!

Yup.  Seasons like this can get pretty AR happy.  I'm sure CA will be getting more.

Lots of cities in the Bay Area, Central Valley have picked up more rain today then they had in the previous 365 days! Been absolutely pouring up here with the snow levels around 10k. This storm will go into the record books.

Pretty obvious the atmosphere is still in a very perturbed state.  Elevated chance of major happenings this winter.

The variety of microclimates in this area is incredible.  It seems like every area has it's strengths and weaknesses for the kind of weather they can get.

Dead calm here now which has allowed the chilly air that got brought down with the squall to remain.

Really a one of a kind storm from what I've experienced here.

It looks like some of the stations in San Francisco might have picked up over 4" of rain in the past 24 hours. I'm not familiar with the best climate history websites down there, but this might be up there with some of the wettest 24 hour periods in the history of the city (since 1847).

In terms of tangible weather... this reminds me of many storms here.   Rotating clouds offshore with some squall lines moving inland and some clearing in between and a moderate amount of wind and eventually cooler air comes in from the SW.      Without looking at any maps... this seems like a pretty typical cold season storm in our area.

My one fear while driving down our very heavily wooded main road is this happening during wind events. Thoughts are with the family of the victims.

That looks horrible... I have often thought about that too when driving during a windstorm.

Very anticlimactic approach into Seattle.  The way the pilots were talking, it was going to be a very rough approach.  Coming over the Cascade crest was a little bumpy but that was it….

Unfortunately I am seated next to an air duct run so no pictures.
