We’re probably one of the worst places for cold nights still have only managed 2 lows in the 30s so far this fall…but not getting cold anomalies in the fall doesn’t bother me since a lot of times it means a hammer drop is coming with the exception of fall 2015. Some of the cold must have been localized compared to a couple years ago. Then I check KHIO which has 10 consecutive days in a row lows <35 and a handful of <32s. I had forgotten how dry middle and late October was that year. The first week was the rainiest. We had a freeze in the Salem area, but it wasn't super exciting. It was a somewhat chilly October overall, looks like 2013 and 2019 were colder at SLE, as was 2007. But it was 49 the next day so it did not last long. 11/21/1985 was much more impressive in this area. And much more recent!
