Just took this video. In all my years of being a weather enthusiast this changed EVERYTHING. Checkout 38 seconds. The power of nature is relentless and humbling.

Wow is that you in the boat?? That's crazy.

I can never get any of these videos to play...  @iFred any suggestions on how to fix it?  I have been able to get some of mtep's videos to play but that seems to be the exception.

They do take a while to load and play…..will post some stills in a bit and you’ll  get the picture!

Very windy here. We've had a two flickers in the last 40 mins or so. Enough to interrupt calls at work but forcing my computer to turn off, but not enough to lose power at least not yet. Wind is shaking the second floor.

I assume you win every case in the court of law just being you!  The opposition probably suffers deer in light syndrome and just freeze up in confusion….your humor if priceless and glad I get to enjoy it on the forum. 10 point awarded

Didn’t know that…I was living in PDX at that time!  I understand how it can happen though…..crazy down there today!   They did shut down the road as it kept getting worse.

This blog post talks about the storm. Photo 14 looks like it’s from about where you were standing.

Wind gusted to 44 mph up here as the front rolled through which made it the third strongest I've recorded (behind only this past January and 12/20/18 which were both 45 mph). Picked up 0.63" of rain to put my total at 2.4" since Saturday and 6.4" on the month. So here at the southern end of the AR it was wet, but I've also registered that amount in a single day before.

Helped fill sandbags for about 4 hours, but after the front came through I was thoroughly soaked and with the temperature drop I had to return to my car to warm up.

All in all we are in great shape here at home compared to the madness of the flooding just to my north, probably won’t have power for a day or two but it shouldn’t be a week like last time. No downed trees on my property but my blower will be getting a hell of a workout later this week. Tis the season!

Just taking a quick look at the news it appears all hell is breaking loose.  Downed trees, wind, flooding, land slides, blocked roads, power outages, etc.  One thing for sure is it's a whole lot colder out there than it was early this morning.

Looking at pictures of the slide on I-5, and lucky no one got killed or more seriously injured.  Looks like a good sized tree that came down, and on the video footage you could see water pouring out of the hillside.

Also, heard on the scanner there is a train that is about to go over, the rail bed is being undercut by the water.  No idea exactly where, but last I heard was them saying that the best approach to deal with it was from the Canadian side, so obviously it is somewhere along the border.

We Court-Martialed a guy named Eby in about 1992 for throwing his wife off the bridge in a Samsonite suitcase.  Long drop.  Never found her.  Eby may be out by now.  I think he got 30 years.

I grew up close to that bridge on Dewey Beach.  I was living in Bellingham at that time and didn't remember this case

NCIS was involved in this case.  Gibbs apparently got a confession from him.

If the ECMWF is correct... the current c-zone will fade and reform farther north near Everett and then that c-zone will fade and will re-form a little farther north again.   That last one is the one that gets you.  😀

Will be very interesting to see how this plays out. I have zero expectations of even seeing a flake but time will tell!
