I think it’s good!

Just short of our first subfreezing average too!

That graphic is confusing.  What was the actual high / low for today?

thankful to have the weather cooperated last night! We were able to resumed our annual “Friendsgiving” get together this year.

But it was freaking chilly with temps in the low 40s and then in the upper 30s. Of course, this was cured by a nice fire pit!

And that is actually burnt turkey skin.. lol. buddy decided to bacon wrap the turkey this year for deep fried. Turned out quite charcoal with the skin.

Looks like Corvalis was 39 / 26 today if I was looking at the right station.  Color me impressed.

Dec 1983

I remember driving with my dad in his 4wd GMC truck over to the 5 acres they had just bought and the roads were terrible. It was a winter wonderland. That’s about all I remember from December 1983.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

To be fair it's committed well before that.

Yeah. Looking at the 250mb model NPAC view shows the jet begins to pull apart and retract Day 10-11. That's the first Op run I am aware of that closely followed the GEFS, CMCE, and EPS with that progression.

It was a cold S.O.B. I just remember being bundled up all the time.

Not in the ideal position but can easily shift in the next 72 hours.

I remember the cold.  That month was bloody cold!  We didn't have much snow where I was living.

SEA wasn't keeping snowfall records in December 1996 unfortunately.  That was more of a downtown Seattle north thing anyway so it may not have topped the November 1985 snowfall.  I would take Nov 1985 over Dec 1996 any day of the week though.

Good mountain snow pattern and tons of potential if the ridge is nudged further east. C'MON!!!!

I know Pete Parsons is well known as a kook on these forums, but he did say we had a better chance of onshore snow potential in the western valleys.  Now, we know that is all left to interpretation, but maybe he is on to something this year?

We’ve had 6 consecutive days below 50 here coolest stretch so far this cold season. Quite the change from the stretch of upper 50s-mid 60s in the middle of the month with lots of rain.
