TT-SEA
The 12Z EPS does not show a strong cold signal over the PNW in the 10-15 day range... that is something to watch for in this situation. When it shows a strong cold signal at that range then its usually a great sign. Might lock in later... but its definitely not there yet. This would be a good mountain snow pattern for sure. 1 1 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

BLI is the station with the lowest anomaly for the year in the SEA NWS area... currently around +3.70 for 2021 and +4.80 for just November. ECMWF shows about 4.50 inches at BLI over the next week so those numbers will undoubtedly continue to climb rather dramatically. Taking into account the average rainfall of about 1 inch for the last week of November... BLI will likely be +7.00 for the year and +8.20 inches for just November by this time next week. I am tucked right up against the foothills and on several occasions I have watched the radar on a few different big rain events and it has consistently shown heavier rain at my location compared to the airport, so I think I am in a sweet spot. I should probably set my manual rain gauge back up for this event to double check. Phil
12z EPS compared to 00z. Stronger AK vortex in the medium range, and by consequence a warmer PNW outcome in the clown range. A stronger AK vortex does not predict or suggest a colder PNW outcome, despite mythology the contrary. Apologies for the bluntness.
