La Ninas used to be cold for the Northwest. This year, the entire West Coast is very warm. 😠

Might as well just move to Florida or Hawaii as least you can enjoy the beaches.

Once the switch is flipped we will get cold.  Probably not until March though and we'll have 35 degree mixed rain and snow for a month.

It is only November 26th and we are one ridge merger away from turning into ice cubes. Relax.

In all seriousness I don't think anyone's actually cancelling winter. Besides, the best mt snow patterns during NiĂąa winters are usually reserved for Jan-Apr. Still plenty of time.

I haven’t given up on the first 10 days of December yet. Might have to throw in the towel if we have another bad 00z suite.

It will be interesting to see how this verifies. We got twice the rain yesterday they were forecasting because they went with the GFS when the Euro was wetter and more accurate. Looks like they're still going with the GFS for this forecast versus the Euro which has about an inch more across the board except in Whatcom county.

Have you? Maybe worse overreactions, but I feel like I haven't seen the towel being thrown in before the start of December very often.

This is nothing…

The whiner thread days of 2007-08 were the ultimate. We were all so young…

I was surprised to see only .5 - 1 inch for Tacoma.

Things were pretty bleak on the forum in mid January 2019. But I only joined in October 2018 and some people have mentioned it was much worse back in 07-08 and 08-09. Idk maybe people are just throwing the kitchen sink at a reverse jinx.

Denver’s snowless streak is now top 4/5 all time. Currently sitting at 219/220 days now. That is pretty astounding for an area at this elevation.

I was in Denver today.  Shorts and t-shirts kind of day.  In the mountains now, much cooler of course but still above normal. Bigger issue is th drought.

I lived in NH in the the early 2000s, 2000-2003.  Love New England, get a nice noreasta' and get buried up there.  I saw 42" from one storm when I was there.  gets super cold too.

Yeah I think you PNW people would love northern New England. Escapes the summer trash and big snows pretty much every winter regardless of ENSO, NAO, or whatever.

Heck I’m not canceling winter. Just the next 10 days. 😂

Gonna stay up tonight for what will inevitably be a depressing run but I'll be damned if I still don't have a relaxing night.
