Well hopefully you can luck out and sneak in a forced evacuation before year’s end. Sorry the fire season didn’t work out for you.😟

Doesn't change the fact that it's been unusually boring for a lot of SW Oregon. Not that I want that. It's just weird and doesn't look like this kind of warm and mostly dry stretch has happened here for a while.

The reports coming from up north definitely have the feel of how things materialized in February 1996 down here. It was pretty bizarre spending what I recall was about 5-6 days where you could not leave the metro area in any direction by land.

I was living in Albany, working in Corvallis during the '96 flood.  I thought I was going to get trapped on the Corvallis side of the river.  Hwy 34 got closed right there at Corvallis, so all traffic had to divert to Hwy 20.  I think it took me 3-4 hours to get home.  That was a crazy event.  My finance was at home that day, and we were supposed to be getting married on the Portland Spirit.  She was freaking out thinking something would happen to the boat.  She felt better after they said on the news it had moved out to the Columbia and was rafted up to a barge.  The wedding happened and still together all these years later.

Back end of the rain is fast approaching, looks like the wind shifted from the S to the WNW over the course of the noon hour at KBLI.  Back edge of the rain is fast approaching and up to 1.81" today (5.88" since Saturday).

We shall soon find out if theirs bite to this pressure rise…..or not

pressure is now rising on my machine

Pressure has gone up slightly but not much I’d imagine it’ll probably rise pretty fast here in a bit. I can see blue sky to the west.

Models were predicting 5 to 6 inches for Seattle just a few days ago, now it's looking like Sea-Tac will get about 0.5 inches for the entire storm.

All of the rain since Saturday evening was related to the same storm.    SEA is at 1.89 inches for this event.

Vancouver BC got what was originally shown to be focused over Seattle.

Power is back on here and for all of North Bend.   Strange situation... the power went out when it was calm and dry and came back on at the height of the front with trees bent over and sideways rain.     Calming down considerably now.

Whoops, I was looking at Boeing Field. They'll be lucky to break an inch for the whole event.

Yeah... distinct rain shadow on Saturday night when the heaviest rain was falling at SEA.
