So EURO does one better and does away with the storm entirely. Is it just me or is it very difficult to get a decent windstorm these days?

They are rare.

Is this the year we no longer dodge that bullet? It has been since December 11, 2014 since PDX had a wind storm. December 14, 2006 last regional wind storm. December 12, 1995 major regional wind storm.

Glad that by pure luck I happened to be in Newport on 4/7/17. Funny story. We were there on a 3-day trip for outdoor school at the OMSI camp (Camp Grey) and I don’t think anyone was expecting the windstorm. When I woke up I had no idea why it was so loud outside and then we stepped out and were greeted by gusts in the lower 70s. Fun times.

Hmmmm that would be me... How can I do that?

It depends on the forum and who developed the forum.  But usually it's as simple as going to your first post (the first post of the forum) and clicking the edit button.  You will then see the option to "Add a poll" or something along those lines.

Again, not all forums allow this.  But if this forum does, you should see that option. :)

6 inches at Snoqualmie Pass and about 16 inches here... 2,000 feet lower.   With temps in the 40s and south wind.   Makes perfect sense.

Ya. Kuchera shows nothing and is obviously more reasonable. Not sure whats up with the 10:1 map other than some serious temp gradients and resolution? I'll let someone else poke around the soundings.

Light dusting for me if it verifies. Last year we had about an inch of snow at least on the 8th of November. It was the most we had for two months. The first snow before that in October was just a dusting.

I told my spouse to wake me up for the first snow we get and then only enough to cover the ground/grass after that. First snow is magic though.
